Apple is currently unveiling features of its flagship phone iPhone 5. Yes, Apple fanatics iPhone 5 is now official and the first thing that would disappoint most of them would be that it looks similar to iPhone 4S (didn’t we already knew about it). iPhone 5 comes with two-tone back metal panel, the same design we all have been seeing from months of leaks and rumors. It is just 7.6mm thick, that 18 percent thinner than the 4S and weighs 20% lighter at just 122 grams. It packs a 4 inch taller retina display with 1136 x 640 resolution, that is 326 pixels per inch.
iPhone 5 has also got worldwide LTE support so that it runs on 4G network. It comes with same 8MP iSight camera present in iPhone 4S but now its more thinner. Front camera now shoots at 720p and is present about the ear piece. It runs a A5 processor with double the CPU and Graphics capabilities than A4 processor present in iPhone 4S but consumes lesser power. The battery provides 8 hours of 3G or LTE talk time or browsing, 10 hours on WiFi browsing, 40 hours of music playback, 225 hours of standby. iPhone 5 now comes with newer and 80% smaller dock connector called Lighting. iOS 6 will be preloaded into it. The usual headphones for iPhone 5 will be replaced with Apple’s new EarPods. It also supports Nano SIM, so bye bye Micro SIM we hardly knew you.
It will come in color options of White and Black. Will be priced as same as iPhone 4S. $199 for 16GB. $299 for 32GB, $399 for 64GB. (on contract) Pre-orders will start on Friday, September 14th and shipping will start on September 21st in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
