Photos of alleged next generation iPhone battery

Next generation iPhone 5 is just a month away from release and as expected lots of rumors are flooding the internet. 9to5mac has released photos of battery of iPhone 5. As mentioned the new battery has got slight capacity boost up from 1430 mAh in iPhone 4S to 1440 mAh. iPhone 5 is expected to support LTE, which as everyone knows drain lots of battery because of its faster speed. So such less battery boost is unexpected. But Apple might have tweaked other components to use lesser power. Next generation iPhone is expected to launch in September.

Along with the increase in battery capacity, the new battery also features a new voltage of 3.8. This is up slightly from 3.7 on both the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. The new battery also has an increased watts-per-hour measurement (wHr), 5.45 wHr, which is an increase from 5.25 and 5.3 on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, respectively. This is a proportional increase due to the increase from 1430 to 1440 mAh.”
