iPhone turns 5 today




5 years from today, Steve Jobs unveiled the very first iPhone. Though iPhone has come a long way and we have iPhone 4S being the latest into the iPhone family. But I still kind of like the original iPhone and also the style in which Steve revealed the iPhone. Apple has sold around 250 million iPhones, which helped Apple generate $150 billion in revenue during the last 5 years of iPhone existence. According to the research from Strategy Analytics and as posted by Business Wire:

“Apple’s first iPhone was launched commercially in the United States on June 29, 2007. Between June 2007 and June 2012, we estimate the iPhone family of models has generated US$150 billion of cumulative revenues worldwide for Apple. This is an impressive achievement and it illustrates just how popular the iPhone has become during the past five years.”
