Recently, we had talked about Facebook testing a highlight feature, that would allow users to highlight their status by paying for it. Facebook has launched the feature that will allow Page owners to promote their post by paying for it. When you promote a post, it will be shown in the news feeds of not just the people who like your Page, but also to their friends in their news feeds for up to 3 days from when the post was first created. These posts will be labeled as “Sponsored” in the news feed. Promoted posts will not be shown in the right-hand column of Facebook. More info at http://www.facebook.com/help/promote.
