Asus branded Google tablet to launch in May

According to DigiTimes, Google and Asustek will unveil a 7-inch co-branded tablet PC as early as May (Nexus Tablet anyone). Google had contacted HTC for the co-branded tablet but they did not wanted to impair its brand image by developing a low cost tablet. When Asustek unveiled its Asus Eee Pad Memo 370T, Google was so impressed with the tablet that they selected Asus to co-brand a low cost tablet. The tablet is said to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire.If the rumors are true than, we might see a Google tablet by Asus in May priced in range of $200 – $250 with specifications as Android 4 aka ICS, Tegra 3 Quad core processor, 7 inch IPS display, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera.
